making a difference

Tonight I attended an event for an organization called Taig - Taigfoundation.org. Their goal is to assist those with disabilities to live more fulfilling lives. I sat through speeches given by Mayor Nutter,  Jim Murray, Jeffrey Brown, and many other honorable guests.  It is so amazing at how this organization is making a difference in the lives of people with mental retardation. It is a beautiful thing when you can be a part of something that is impacting  someone's life, since  It usually passes me by and it probably does many of you - but we can all make a difference whether it is giving a donation to those less fortunate or to even spend a day with someone who has some sort of disability. It really makes you appreciate all that you have and you really feel a sense of goodness. If you want to live abundantly help others - Martin Luther King said it best, "We Have two hands, one to help ourselves, and one to help others."

Enjoy your week,

Geoff
